Food Access at the Markets

At North Union Farmers Market, we believe everyone deserves access to fresh, locally grown food. That's why we proudly participate in several nutrition assistance programs that help make healthy food more affordable for individuals and families across Northeast Ohio.

SNAP/EBT

All North Union Farmers Market locations accept SNAP/EBT benefits. Customers can use their Ohio Direction Card to purchase eligible food items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy products, breads, baked goods, and edible plants that produce food.

Produce Perks

Stretch your SNAP dollars even further with Produce Perks! SNAP customers receive a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $25 per day, to purchase additional fresh fruits and vegetables from participating vendors. It's an easy way to bring home more healthy, locally grown produce while supporting Ohio farmers.

WIC (Women, Infants & Children) Farmers Market Nutrition Program

The WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program provides eligible Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) participants with coupons to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs directly from approved farmers at participating North Union Farmers Market locations.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)

Eligible older adults can use Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey from approved vendors at participating North Union Farmers Market locations. This seasonal program helps older adults enjoy nutritious, locally grown food while supporting local farms.

Family Fruit & Vegetable Coupon Program

The Family Fruit & Vegetable Coupon Program helps eligible families purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at participating North Union Farmers Market locations. This program increases access to healthy foods while encouraging families to incorporate more fresh produce into their daily meals.
