Celebrating 30 Years of North Union Farmers Market

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, our community came together at Shaker Square, where North Union Farmers Market began, to celebrate an incredible milestone: 30 years of local food, community and connection.

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for this special day and to all of the farmers, food producers, makers, partners, volunteers and market shoppers who have been part of our story over the past three decades.

The celebration included live music, family activities, cake and plenty of memories, along with a special opportunity to honor our longtime Executive Director and Co-Founder, Donita Anderson, and recognize the vendors and community members who helped shape North Union Farmers Market through the years.

30 Years of Growing Together

Since 1995, North Union Farmers Market has worked to connect Northeast Ohio communities with local farmers and food producers, strengthen our regional food system and make fresh, locally grown food more accessible.

Our 30th Anniversary Celebration gave us a chance to look back at how much has grown from those early market days at Shaker Square while also celebrating the people who continue to make our markets vibrant today.

Most of all, it was a celebration of community.

Thank you to everyone who has shopped, volunteered, partnered, sponsored, farmed, baked, created, performed and gathered with us over the years. We are incredibly grateful to have shared this milestone with you.
