Mighty Locavore: Food Education for Young Eaters

At North Union Farmers Market, we believe healthy eating habits start early! That’s why we created Mighty Locavore, an interactive food education program for kindergarten through second grade. Through hands-on activities, we help children discover the joys of fresh, local food while connecting them to Northeast Ohio’s farmers and seasonal produce.

What to Expect:

🌱 Hands-On Learning – Kids plant seasonal flowers, herbs, and more—check back each month to see what’s growing!
🍎 Farm-to-Table Education – Children learn where their food comes from and how local farmers bring fresh, healthy options to the community.
💡 Building Healthy Habits – By engaging young minds, we help create a foundation for lifelong good eating habitsin children and their families.

Where to Find Us:

🏫 In Schools – We bring Mighty Locavore directly into classrooms to inspire young learners.
🛍 At the Market – Look for our pop-up programs at North Union Farmers Market locations throughout the season!

📍 Join us at school or the market and watch your little one become a Mighty Locavore!

Over 47,000 children have already participated, and teachers invite us back year after year—come see why!
