A Time to Grow
North Union Farmers Market provides an annual farmers' conference called A Time to Grow. The event is usually held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in January. Topics include soil health, marketing, small business management, product line expansion, and much more. Plus, the potluck lunch provided by attendees makes for a wonderful and delicious opportunity to converse and relax after a long market season!
The 2013 Conference featured small business expert, Harold Lloyd. For more than two decades, Harold has worked very closely with small and large businesses to provide a powerful push in the right direction with "It's About Time," which focuses on time management. Harold's most recent publication, "Am I The Leader I Need To Be?" is the first book to quantitatively assess one's ability to lead others.
