North Union Farmers Market - Annual Fund

Dear Friend of the Market,

You come to North Union Farmers Market for fresh, locally grown food.

At every stand, at every location, our farmers bring their very best, so you can have healthy, nutrient-dense foods … an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

The sights, sounds, tastes, and smells -- these are the simple and sublime delights of a North Union Farmers Market .

North Union Farmers Market bridges the urban and the rural – in a dynamic place where neighbors meet each other and farmers greet you eye to eye.

Our markets support and promote healthy living for the people in our region. This is our passion – and our mission.

Now we need your help. We make a difference in our communities. We come to the people we trust to help us meet our goal of raising $50,000. This will enable North Union Farmers Market to support local farms -- through marketing, creating lively marketplaces and maintaining strong viable farmer’s markets.

Your donations are critical in our efforts to:

  • educate consumers on the benefits of eating locally grown food.
  • serve as consultants to local farmers – with education programs, new ideas and a place to sell their goods.

Over the last few years we’ve supported over 300 new businesses as an incubator for local farmers and artisans.  And our markets promote economic development: for every dollar spent at farmers' markets, consumers spend $3 at nearby retailers.  Our original Shaker Square market has more than proven its value – since its creation, it has been a major attraction that supports the Square’s redevelopment plan.

If we are to live out the mission of North Union Farmers Market -- providing you with access to the very best in fresh, locally grown food -- we need your help.

Please donate today.

Sincerely,
Donita Anderson
Executive Director

P.S. Farmers markets provide healthy, local, fresh food in urban and suburban communities. To connect local farmers and local people – your donation is critical!
